Ai in Agriculture
Kilimo Mkononi, which translates to “Farming at Hand” in Swahili, is a proposed system currently being developed by JV ALMACIS aimed at helping farmers manage their farms more effectively by leveraging modern technology. The system is based on years of data collection conducted by JV ALMACIS in several areas in Kenya.
Kilimo Mkononi will provide farmers with a centralized platform for tracking key agricultural variables like production costs, revenue, soil data, weather conditions, and pest/disease management. This solution is targeted specifically for smallholder farmers, with a focus on improving decision-making, reducing losses, and increasing profitability through effective farm management.
